The Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterpark Bradley, in the Village of Bradley, Illinois, is a 75,000 sq ft facility, aiming to be Illinois’ largest indoor waterpark.

OpenAire is pleased to be supplying a 100% aluminum retractable roof, corrosion free building to enable year-round operation. Funded by $30 million in bonds (approved February 2025) and $50 million planned for 2026, the project anticipates 323,000–410,000 visitors in its first year, generating $17.7 million in revenue, with profits exceeding $2 million annually after bond repayments. The waterpark is a cornerstone of Bradley’s ambition to become Kankakee County’s tourism hub, complemented by a $30–$35 million youth sports complex.

Bradley aims to capture regional tourism dollars from Chicago, southwest Michigan, Indianapolis, and beyond. The village has also partnered with experienced firms like Martin Aquatic for aquatic design and American Resort Management for operations, as well as drawing inspiration from Epic Waters in Texas.
