Private Residence

The Challenge
The owner of this gorgeous estate wanted to make the most of his surroundings. High in the mountains of Colorado the natural setting offers spectacular views. How to create a building that engaged the great outdoors but could withstand the extreme snow load found in the area?
The Solution
After visiting many OpenAire buildings the owner decided that this was the best building on the market. The thermally broken aluminum frame, engineered to meet the local conditions would give good protection from the elements.
OpenAire offered a building that could be glazed with glass and still have the operable roof. OpenAire’s design team was also able to work with local contractors to integrate the aluminum structure with a glulam superstructure. This combination beautifully blends the building into the fantastic surroundings.
