Rosemary Beach Club
Panama City Beach, FL
The Challenge
It’s not always perfect swimming weather in Florida. Sometimes the sun is too strong for kids to be out in the pool. Sometimes it’s even too cool to swim comfortably. The question is “How do you create a sheltered, indoor swim environment that can still take advantage of the Florida’s sunny weather?”
The Solution
Build an enclosure that utilizes solid walls and roofing but leave enough glazing in the roof and walls to take advantage of just the right amount of sunshine. Make the roof operable and you end up with this spectacular indoor/outdoor Florida swim center at Rosemary Beach Club, Panama City Beach, FL. The final product features energy efficient (no cooling necessary), maintenance free thermally broken aluminum construction designed to stand up to the worst that Florida’s hurricane alley can throw at it.
