The Yard at Ballys Atlantic City

Opened in the spring of 2022, OpenAire is pleased to be partnering with the designers at SOSH Architects on the new beer garden called The Yard, located at Bally’s Atlantic City Casino Resort.

The Yard at Ballys Atlantic City is an 18 m wide and 26 m (60x85ft) long retractable roof enclosure sitting within the U-shaped courtyard of the hotel. The beer garden features motorized operable walls on all sides and a retractable roof that opens in 10 moving sections. Adding a retractable roof enclosure that opens and closes at the push of a button will mean that no matter the weather or time of year, The Yard will continue full operations. There will never again be a weather related event cancellation.

The venue is inspired by Philadelphia and New York-style beer halls, Bally’s executives said.

The retractable roof enclosure with its glass walls and translucent polycarbonate roof ensures that the views from inside the hotel and from the boardwalk to the Casino remain unhindered.

Already, in 2022, The Yard, has won a Diner’s Choice award from OpenTable.
