The owner of this extraordinary waterpark did his due diligence when researching the options available for enclosing this waterpark project. He wanted something that was cost effective and yet unique in the industry.

OpenAire was chosen as the solution because it was a cost-effective system and the savings in operating costs were significant. After visiting OpenAire’s building at the Americana waterpark in Niagara Falls, ON the owner chose OpenAire’s thermally broken aluminum, operable roof knowing the result would be a maintenance free building that would not corrode and would cost less to operate than a traditional indoor waterpark.

Opened in 2009, Big Splash Adventure Waterpark remains privately owned and is 40,000sf of fun in Indiana and is attached to a 153 room hotel. The success of this project has allowed the owners to add to the resort additional amenities and attractions including mini golf and laser tag and their incredible Wilstem Wildlife Park.
