A major expansion of the Bavarian Inn Lodge, one of Frankenmuth’s major attractions, the project dramatically expands its water park amenities and Family Entertainment offerings. The new amenities will make the Bavarian Inn Lodge Michigan’s largest indoor water park and family entertainment center, at more than 140,000 square feet of family fun.

OpenAire is thrilled to announce our part in the development of this fabulous new facility at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. Crowning the waterpark with its thematic facade, designed to match the existing historic Bavarian Architecture, is an OpenAire skylight that brings sunshine into the new waterpark year round.

The $80 million project adds 20-plus new attractions, including many water slides, wave pool and adult swim up bar.

The skylight is 175ft wide and 287ft long with a cupola over the slide tower. The skylight sits on 32ft high concrete piers over a multi level water park.
